ADVERBS- Intermediate

An Adverb is a word added to a Verb , an Adjective or another Adverb to show time, manner, place and degree.

Exercise 1: For each item in the list on the left side: click on the box beside it and choose one of the items in the list that pops up and best suits the sentence....

He looked at me..............., and then let me go
He tied the rope.......... around the post and lowered himself into the hole
She washed her blouse............. with soap to remove the blood stain.
He got up.............. and left the room without a word.
