GRAMMAR ROOM

Jumbled-up words are difficult to read and understand, that is why we have grammar - a way or arranging words into sentences so that they make sense for everybody.

The eight parts of speech are:
NOUNS, PRONOUNS, ADJECTIVES, VERBS, ADVERBS,

PREPOSITIONS, CONJUNCTIONS, INTERJECTIONS

Person- First (person speaking) Second (Person spoken to)
Third (person or thing spoken about)

Number-Plurals, expressions of quantity, more.............

Phrases help extend sentences - Noun phrases, Adjectival phrases, Adverbial phrases.

A Principal clause stand alone and makes sense by itself. Subordinate clause does the work of an adjective, adverb and sometimes a noun.
